Be Real Today: 5 Things You Can Do Right Now
Here are five things you can do today to start showing up like someone people actually want to work with.
1. Audit your last five posts.
Go look at whatever you posted last week. Read it out loud. Now ask yourself honestly: does that sound like you talking to a client, or does it sound like a marketing brochure? If you would never say those words out loud to someone sitting across from you, rewrite it. One post. Today. In your actual voice.
2. Send one honest message.
Pick one person in your pipeline. Not a pitch. Not a check-in template. A real message. Tell them something true. It could be a market update that is not great news. It could be an honest answer to a question they asked last week. Just be straight with them. One message. That is it.
3. Write down three things you actually believe about this business.
Not what your broker tells you to say. Not industry talking points. What do YOU believe? About rates, about buying now, about the process, about what clients actually need. These three things are the raw material for every piece of content you will ever make. Write them down today.
4. Have one real conversation.
Call someone. Not to pitch them. Just to talk. Ask a past client how the house is going. Ask an agent what they are seeing in the market. You are not working an angle. You are being a human being. That call will do more for your business than any ad you could run today.
5. Block 60 minutes tomorrow morning and protect it.
Not for email. Not for fires. For showing up. The content, the calls, the messages, none of it happens if you do not have a protected block to do it. Open your calendar right now. Find 60 minutes tomorrow. Name it something. Show Up Hour. Green Zone. Whatever. Just block it before you close this.
None of these take more than an hour combined. The goal is not to do them perfectly. The goal is to do them. Start there.
